Kate Bosworth, style icon

The other Kate, Kate Bosworth is also a style icon of mine. Her eclectic taste ranges from a boho look, to high fashion, to simple evening wear, often Calvin Klein or similar. I particularly love her summer style as Bosworth isn't afraid to experiment and always seems comfortable in anything she wears. She never tries too hard, something I love in fashion! Below are some of my favourite outfits worn by Kate:

One amazing skirt

Just wanted to share this amazing maxi-skirt from River Island. I must have this!

The amazing style of Carrie Bradshaw

The amazing style of Carrie Bradshaw styled by Patricia Field! Here are a (small) selection of my favourite Carrie outfits. There are many many more.

Shoeessss

I'm a big fan of shoes (I work for a boot company) and found these beauties on the Topshop website today. I do love me a tan shoe as they go with everything, so I will definitely be purchasing these sandals for summer time and will be asking for these gorgeous wedge heels for my birthday! So pretty.

Whitney Port, style icon

No one quite does summer fashion like Whitney Port. Made famous in LA reality show 'The Hills', Port appeared doing an internship at Teen Vogue. I have loved her style since I first saw 'the Hills', where she was always had a boho/hippie style going on. Whitney never looked like she was trying too hard and seemed effortlessly stylish in comparison to some of the other characters on the show. Over the years, Whitney's style evolution has been shown, from her appearance on her spin off tv show, 'The City' set in New York. Whitney seems to love pastels and floral patterns in a mix of dresses, blazers and shorts, often in lace, silk or chiffon. Her clothes are always an eclectic mix of styles and patterns, yet she always looks original and amazing. Also love love LOVE her shoes and her clothing line 'Whitney Eve'. Amazing taste. Here are just a few of her outfits that I admire:

Primark finds

Primark, I find, is a very hit and miss store. I rarely find anything I love there, or would be willing to buy, due to the poor quality of the fabric, however it is great for a quick fashion fix. I did recently find this amazing dress, just in for Spring/Summer and only £17. The dress is simple, yet will be gorgeous for spring, with bare legs and ballet pumps or sandals for day, heels for night time. The patent navy belt, sold as part of the dress, is surprisingly good quality and the dress includes a good lining. I also love the detailing of the buttons on the sleeves and the green hem and will look amazing with my bright yellow vintage clutch.

Dress (Primark £17)

I also found these loafer platform heels on sale, reduced from £16 to £6 and have already worn them on a few nights out. They make me super tall which is always a plus, are surprisingly comfortable and will look amazing with the dress and many other outfits of mine.
Shoes (Primark £6)

Pretty Peplums

I'm loving that peplum shapes are back in fashion for this season. The peplum is a very flattering and gorgeous shape, seen in the form of tops, dresses and skirts, on everyone from Emma Stone to Emma Watson. I generally find the best style on me is a dress or top and I recently bought this peplum floral top from H&M and though it is very simple, it makes a big impact. I can't wait until it is warm enough to show it off!

H&M £12.99
Since I saw the Sex and the City movie in the cinema, I have loved the peplum dress Carrie wears to the auction. Stylist Patricia Field really is an integral part of SATC, as much as the characters themselves and this vintage dress is amazing. I also love this fabulous Jason Wu creation and Victoria Beckham's designs (see below).

I used to have a striped red and white peplum skirt from Warehouse, a gem bought in the sale, I just wish I knew what I'd done with it. I'm forever losing clothes with all the different houses and flats I have lived in, in the last few years but I have seen a few more skirts (Topshop and ASOS) which I will hopefully buy soon to make up for it!
